درس بیست و چهارم

مجری: بیایید با فعل درخواست کردن (Ask) شروع کنیم.

اشتباه رایج این است که بگوییم: "She came and asked my book."

اما درست آن این است: "She came and asked for my book."

حالا برسیم به فعل خلاص شدن (Dispose / Get rid).

نگویید: "He'll dispose/get rid all his property."

درست آن: "He'll dispose/get rid of all his property."

مجری: برسیم به فعل رویا دیدن (Dream).

اشتباه نکنید و نگویید: "Young men dream glory and riches."

درست آن: "Young men dream of glory and riches."

حالا برسیم به یک اشتباه بسیار رایج با فعل توضیح دادن (Explain).

نگویید: "She explained me the matter."

درست آن: "She explained the matter to me."

برسیم به صدای در زدن! فعل کوبیدن (Knock).

اشتباه رایج: "Who is knocking the door?"

درست آن: "Who is knocking at the door?"

حالا برسیم به فعل گوش دادن (Listen).

نگویید: "They were listening the music."

درست آن: "They were listening to the music."

برسیم به خرید کردن و پرداخت پول (Pay).

اشتباه رایج: "How much did you pay the book?"

درست آن: "How much did you pay for the book?"

برسیم به اشاره کردن. فعل Point.

اشتباه نکنید و نگویید: "He pointed the map on the wall."

درست آن: "He pointed to (or at) the map on the wall."

برسیم به فعل یادآوری کردن (Remind).

اشتباه رایج: "Please remind me that later."

درست آن: "Please remind me of that later."

و آخرین نکته امروز، فعل جواب دادن (Reply).

نگویید: "She's not replied me yet."

درست آن: "She's not replied to me yet."
