توضیحات

در ادامه‌ی درس‌های مربوط به زمان حال ساده و حال استمراری، این درس با موضوع Routines and Exceptions (روال‌ها و استثناها) و بر اساس تصویر مربوط به Transportation نوشته شده است:

🟩 Routines and Exceptions

(روال‌ها و استثناها)

You use the present simple to describe your daily routines and habits.

You use the present continuous to talk about what you are doing right now.

These two tenses are often used together to show contrast between what usually happens and what’s happening today.

🟩 CONTRASTING ROUTINES AND EXCEPTIONS

(تضاد بین کارهای همیشگی و استثناها)

You can contrast a routine action with an exception by using “but”.

I usually go to work by bus, but today I’m taking the train. 🚆

She often drives to school, but this week she’s walking. 🚶‍♀️

We normally fly for business trips, but this time we’re taking the car. 🚗

They usually stay home on weekends, but today they’re going to the park. 🌳

Use this pattern to show that something is different from your usual routine.

🟩 HOW TO FORM CONTRASTING ROUTINES AND EXCEPTIONS

(چگونه جمله‌های متضاد بسازیم)

Structure:

👉 Present simple + but + present continuous

Routine (Present Simple) Exception (Present Continuous)

I take the bus every day but today I’m driving.

He walks to work but he’s taking a taxi this morning.

We travel by train but now we’re flying to London.

She drives to school but today she’s riding her bike.

💡 Remember:

Use “usually / often / sometimes / always” for routines.

Use “today / this week / right now” for exceptions.
