(احساسات و حالات روحی)

You can use adjectives to describe how you feel or how other people feel.

These adjectives are called feeling adjectives or emotion adjectives.

They help you express your mood, emotions, and reactions to situations.



🟩 VOCABULARY — FEELINGS AND MOODS

Here are some common adjectives to describe how people feel:

Positive feelings 😊 Neutral or mild 😐 Negative feelings 😢

calm, relaxed, happy, confident, proud, excited, pleased, cheerful, amused surprised, tired, bored, curious, grateful worried, lonely, scared, terrified, nervous, anxious, distracted, confused, irritated, angry, annoyed, furious, sad, unhappy, disappointed, miserable, stressed, jealous



🟩 USING FEELING ADJECTIVES

(استفاده از صفات احساسی)

You can use feeling adjectives after the verb to be or feel:

I’m happy today. 😊

She feels tired after work. 😴

They’re nervous about the test. 📘

He’s excited to travel. ✈️

We’re relaxed on vacation. 🌴

You can also use them after look, sound, or seem:

You look tired.

That sounds interesting!

She seems worried.



🟩 STRONG AND WEAK FEELINGS

(احساسات قوی و ضعیف)

Some adjectives express similar emotions but with different intensity:

Weak Strong

scared terrified

angry furious

surprised shocked

unhappy miserable

tired exhausted

worried anxious

She’s scared of spiders. → He’s terrified of snakes! 🕷️🐍

I’m angry about this. → He’s furious! 😡
