**Sensory processes** refer to the process of receiving information from the environment and converting it into neural signals by specialized organs that act as the first step in understanding the world around us. Each of the senses, using its specialized capabilities, identifies different stimuli and transmits characteristics such as intensity and quality to the brain to form experiences such as seeing colors, hearing sounds, and touching objects. Based on scientific findings, we define stimuli with specific thresholds and the mind is always searching to distinguish between important messages and annoying environmental disturbances, a process that is affected by accuracy and individual biases. In addition to sight and hearing, which record the precise details of the environment through, senses such as smell and taste are based on chemical reactions, and the sense of touch also provides vital information by detecting pressure and temperature. Meanwhile, the feeling of pain is more influenced by mental and cultural factors than any other sense, which can change the intensity of the feeling through neural mechanisms in the body.
