(توصیف اشیاء)

🟩 Describing Things

You can use adjectives to describe things — to give your opinion (what you think about something) or factual information (what it really is).

You can also use more than one adjective before a noun in English.

🟩 OPINION ADJECTIVES

(صفت‌هایی که بیان نظر می‌کنند)

Some adjectives describe what you think or feel — not facts.

These are called opinion adjectives.

Opinion Adjective Meaning Example

beautiful nice to look at It’s a beautiful dress. 👗

ugly not nice to look at That’s an ugly painting. 🎨

comfortable pleasant to use or wear This chair is very comfortable. 🪑

boring not interesting The movie was boring. 🎬

interesting makes you think or curious That book is really interesting. 📘

delicious tastes very good This pizza is delicious! 🍕

expensive costs a lot of money This phone is expensive. 📱

cheap not expensive These shoes were cheap. 👟

📘 Example sentences:

I bought a beautiful red bag.

That’s a boring old movie.

This is an interesting wooden sculpture.

🟩 ADJECTIVE ORDER

(ترتیب قرار گرفتن صفت‌ها در جمله)

In English, adjectives usually follow a specific order.

When you use more than one adjective, opinion adjectives come first, followed by fact adjectives (like size, shape, color, and material).

🔹 Typical Adjective Order:

Opinion → lovely, ugly, nice, beautiful

Size → big, small, tall, tiny

Shape → round, square, flat, long

Color → red, blue, green, black

Origin → French, American, Chinese

Material → wooden, plastic, metal, woolen

Purpose → cooking (as in cooking pot), sleeping (as in sleeping bag)
