Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly playing a role across all facets of science and technology, even extending into daily life, where it is paving new and innovative pathways. These pathways enable the conduction of highly goal-oriented materials studies accelerated synthesis of materials, fine-tuning of their properties, and enhancement of their performance, all with minimal testing and reduced time. This trend is also noticeable and tangible in the field of nanomaterials. Numerous countries and researchers have engaged with AI, and more specifically machine learning (ML), applications in nanomaterials, and this editorial aims to provide a concise statistical overview of the extent and impact of AI in this domain. AI is establishing its presence, setting the stage for even greater advancements in the coming years. ...
