26: Part 2: Claudia Apolinar is Shot in the Face During Violent Ambush

LA Sheriff Deputy Claudia Apolinar and her partner were waiting to move to their next assignment when a gunman fired multiple shots into their patrol vehicle. Claudia was shot through the face and both arms, and her partner was shot multiple times in his right arm with one round hitting his skull. In spite of the danger and injuries Claudia was able to radio for help, apply a tourniquet to her partner’s severely wounded arm, and defend him until help arrived.
