72: Part 1: Nathan Hutchinson is Shot Five Times Rescuing His Partners

Nathan Hutchinson and his team were taking advantage of the slow pace at the beginning of the year to catch up on tips and follow up leads. One tip lead to a search warrant on January 4, 2012. The homeowner had laid an ambush that resulted in six officers being shot. During the firefight, Nathan Hutchinson was shot twice but still managed to get two of his partners rescued. Out of ammo, Nathan went back to save his partner, Jared Francom, who was shot and unconscious. He was shot three more times rescuing Jared, who later died.
