Send us Fan Mail"Going on the path of the desert is to avoid the false hope that if I don't find what I want, I will try my best."In this episode, which begins with this beautiful verse by Saadi, we have tried our best to talk about one of the most serious challenges facing the country's health sector today:Unsupported advertising! When anyone, with any level of literacy, experience, and expertise, allows themselves to write a prescription for the health of others, advertise a product, and deliver it to the consumer, the market for health products, especially those with apparent herbal names, is no longer limited to pharmacies. Then, the tragedy of people's health becomes the tragedy of a population that, with closed eyes, has entrusted their bodies, their futures, and the lives of their children to Instagram ads, discredited claims on social media, and advice from "wise men, grocers, bed-makers, and butchers."And perhaps that's why I chose the title "The Sparrowhawk" for these two episodes, 84 and 85."Gandeshkak Ashi-Mashi" is not just a popular Iranian song, it is a metaphor for the victims of unsupported propaganda of the present day, whose stories are heard in this episode from the mouths of officials and based on reliable evidence. The story of this episode is the story of choices that are sometimes made without knowledge, without evidence, and without oversight, and for which a heavy price is paid.🎙️ Episode 84 and the next episode, 85, are parts of the "Challenges of Safety and Effectiveness of Herbal Products" panel, which was held in the closing hours of the Pharmacist Day Integrated Conference, on September 26, in Hall No. 2 of the Razi Conference Complex.A scientific and challenging panel, consisting of three lectures and a roundtable discussion, with one important question:Why and how has the supply of herbal products in this region reached this level? This discussion was held with the presence of four experts from different fields, in a hall that was almost empty in the final hours of the conference, except for a handful of pharmacists. But perhaps the topic of this panel does not belong to a hall, a conference, or even just the pharmaceutical community. This discussion is worth hearing for doctors, pharmacists, health activists, and all those who have entrusted their and their families' health to choosing between a multitude of health-related products and claims outside of pharmacies.Maybe it's time to ask ourselves:Who decides our health? Science? Evidence? The regulatory system? Or whoever preaches the loudest?🎧 Listen to this story; the story of "The Sparrowhawk".Panel members:Dr. Maryam Akhgari, Toxicologist, Forensic Medicine OrganizationDr. Shahram Shoaibi, Food Chemistry Specialist, Food and Drug OrganizationDr. Behrouz Zolfaghari , Pharmacognosy Specialist, Isfahan University of Medical SciencesDr. Sepideh Arbabi , Toxicologist, Islamic Azad University of Medical Sciences, Tehran#Drugs #Shrimp_Story #Episode84 #Episode85 #Herbal_Products #Herbal_Medicines #Toxicology #Pharmacognosy #Safety_and_Efficacy #Health #Pharmacology #Public_HealthSupport the showاینستاگرام : @sepideh_Arbabi_Bidgoli @Noushdarou.podcast ایمیل : sepideharbabi@gmail.com اگر از محتوی خوشتون اومد با لایک و کامنت هایتان ادامه مسیر را هموارتر کنید.
