توضیحات
Nowadays, one of the ways to improve the mechanical properties and durability of conventional concrete is adding useful and non-pathogenic bacteria to fresh concrete which can produce calcium carbonate during a bacterial process in the fine natural pores in concrete. These microorganisms can increase the strength and durability of concrete with their filling properties. This biological process is generally known as the process of producing calcium carbonate by bacteria or MICP (Microbial Induced Calcite Precipitation). This type of bacteria in concrete can survive for a very long time and each time after being exposed to water and oxygen, they reactivate and start producing calcium carbonate again.
